The New York Lottery commissioned the Highland Mint to create this Mint, Numbered, Limited Edition set of 8 - Silver coins layered in pure 24k gold and 1 bronze coin filled with authentic infield dirt from Yankee Stadium. Each coin is triple struck and minted to the highest standards. It was made to commemorate the final season of Yankee Stadium, "The House that Ruth built". The set comes in a luxury, walnut locking display case with polished brass trim and 2 brass keys with tassel adornment. The plate on the top of the case reads "YANKEE STADIUM FINAL SEASON COMMEMORATIVE COIN SET" along with the Yankee Stadium Logo. It appears to be rough and scratched in the picture but that is only the plastic protective coating on the plate and it peels off. The inside lid of the case is adorned with a plaque detailing some Yankee Stadium and Franchise history.

The coins are solid silver layered with pure 24k gold. Each coin comes in a protective plastic housing. They are configured in the case as a baseball diamond, and the home plate coin is made of brass and filled with genuine infield dirt from Yankee Stadium, Bronx NY.

The other coins depict various aspects of the New York Yankee Franchise Highlights and Yankee Stadium. The coins are as follows.

1 25 Time World Champions. 5 All Star Game July 15, 2008. 6 Yankee Stadium April 18, 1923. 7 Major League Baseball Collection.

8 2000 World Series Coin. The display box measures 11 1/4" square by 2 1/2" high. It's made of cherry wood, beautiful. Comes in a black cardboard box for wrapping.

The sets are limited and numbered, again they were only available through the lottery, so I don't know how many were made? I'm sure it's not many, only available to winning lottery tickets. This set is number #0325.

The case and each Silver with Gold overlay coin (not the brass coin) are individually numbered #0325 making each set a very unique matched set. The front brass plate on the wooden box still as plastic protective film so it look wrinkled.
