In 1987, Yankees first baseman Don Mattingly tied Dale Long's MLB record by hitting home runs in eight consecutive games! From July 8th to the 18th (the All-Star game occurred in the middle of the streak), Mattingly took the baseball world by storm. He would hit 10 home runs during those eight games.
