June 13th 1948 vintage wire photo of Babe Ruth (pictured in the back row) and the 1923 World Series winning New York Yankees reuniting at Yankee Stadium. The 1923 team was the first to play at Yankee Stadium and the first Yankees team to win the World Series.

On this day the club celebrated the 25 year anniversary of the stadium and it would be the last time Babe Ruth would visit the stadium and wear a Yankees jersey. During a pre-game ceremony Ruth addressed the crowd to a huge ovation and he would have his #3 jersey retired. Letter of Authenticity provided by RMY Auctions.
