Great ticket from the history of "The Captain". California Angels and New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium tied 1-1 in the bottom of the fourth when Derek Jeter stepped up to the plate. Jeter, who was called up from the minors on May 29th, smacked a line drive double to left field off of Shawn Boskie for his first career hit at Yankee Stadium. The double, (Jeter's first extra base hit of his career) sent Verlarde across home plate and gave the Yankees the lead 2-1 and Jeter his first RBI in Yankee Stadium.
